This Privacy Policy explains how Perfume Synergy, a trade name of Solano Equity Investments LLC (“Perfume Synergy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you visit perfumesynergy.com (the “Site”), place an order, create an account, or otherwise interact with us.
We are based in California. This policy is written to meet the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), and it serves as our notice at collection. Sections that describe rights under California law apply to California residents. Everything else applies to everyone, and as a matter of practice we extend the choices described here to all of our customers.
1. Personal Information We Collect
In the past twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as those categories are defined by the CCPA.
Identifiers. Name, billing and shipping address, email address, telephone number, account username, IP address, and unique device or cookie identifiers.
Customer records. Name, address, telephone number, and payment information associated with a purchase. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers; card details are collected and processed by our payment processors.
Commercial information. Products viewed and purchased, order history, returns, wish list contents, saved addresses, and correspondence with our customer care team.
Internet and network activity. Pages viewed, searches run on the Site, referring pages, session activity, browser and device type, and similar analytics information collected through cookies and comparable technologies.
Approximate location. General location inferred from your IP address or derived from a shipping address, used for tax calculation, shipping eligibility, and fraud prevention. We do not collect precise geolocation.
Other information you provide. If you choose to give it, the month and day of your birthday, which we collect for the sole purpose of sending a birthday offer. We do not ask for the year.
Inferences. Preferences drawn from your browsing and purchase history, such as fragrance categories you appear to favor, used to suggest products.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as the CCPA defines it — such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, or the contents of your mail or messages — and we do not use or disclose personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.
2. Where the Information Comes From
We collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, save an item to a wish list, sign up for email, or contact us. We collect it automatically from your device through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Site. We also receive it from service providers who act on our behalf, including our e-commerce platform, payment processors, and shipping carriers.
3. Why We Collect It
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders, including passing the shipping details to the carrier and to the supplier that ships the item; to take payment and to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud; to create and maintain your account, wish list, and saved addresses; to provide customer care and to respond to your questions, claims, and requests; to calculate and remit sales tax and to meet our other legal and accounting obligations; to send transactional messages such as order confirmations and shipping notices; to send marketing email where you have signed up, and to send a birthday offer if you gave us that date; to understand how the Site is used so that we can improve it; and to enforce our Terms & Conditions and protect our rights.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We disclose personal information for business purposes to the following categories of recipients, each of which is bound by contract to use it only to perform services for us:
Our e-commerce platform and hosting providers; payment processors and fraud-prevention services; shipping carriers and the suppliers who fulfill and ship orders on our behalf; email and messaging providers; analytics providers; and professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
We may also disclose personal information where we believe it is necessary to comply with law or legal process, to respond to a lawful request from a government authority, to enforce our Terms & Conditions, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Perfume Synergy, our customers, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be among the assets transferred.
In the past twelve months we have disclosed each of the categories of personal information listed in Section 1 to these categories of recipients for these business purposes.
5. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have.
California law defines “sale” and “sharing” more broadly than an exchange for money. “Sharing” means disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — targeting ads to you based on your activity across different websites. We use third-party analytics cookies on the Site, and depending on how those services are configured, the identifiers and browsing activity they collect may be treated as “sharing” under California law. We treat it that way and give you the right to opt out, described below.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
How to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing
You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time by any of the following means:
Email us at customercare@perfumesynergy.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” and we will apply the request to your account and to the browser and device you tell us about; or use a browser or extension that transmits the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We honor the Global Privacy Control. When we receive that signal we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, and where you are signed in, for your account. Because an opt-out tied to a browser is stored in that browser, you will need to opt out again on each browser and device you use, and if you clear your cookies.
You may also disable or delete cookies through your browser settings, described in Section 6.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies on the Site. Strictly necessary cookies keep the Site working — they hold your cart, keep you signed in, and support security and fraud prevention. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are used and where visitors run into trouble. Marketing and attribution cookies record how a visitor arrived at the Site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Site, including the cart and checkout, from working. Disabling analytics and marketing cookies will not affect your ability to shop.
7. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights.
Right to know. You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
Right to delete. You may request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions in the law — for example, we may keep what we need to complete a transaction, to detect security incidents, or to comply with a legal obligation such as tax record-keeping.
Right to correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you. You can also correct much of it yourself in your account.
Right to opt out of sale or sharing. You may direct us not to sell or share your personal information, as described in Section 5.
Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right, so there is nothing for you to limit. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide the mechanism.
Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level of quality because you exercised any of these rights. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
Shine the Light. California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets California residents request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
8. How to Exercise Your Rights
Submit a request by emailing customercare@perfumesynergy.com, by calling (707) 534-1650 during business hours, or by writing to the mailing address in Section 13.
Before we act on a request to know, delete, or correct, we must verify that the request is really yours. We will ask you to provide information we already hold — typically the email address on your account and details of a recent order — and match it against our records. We use that information only to verify the request. We do not require an account to make a request.
We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time we will tell you why, and we may take up to another 45 days. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will tell you why before doing anything.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your signed permission, and we may still contact you to confirm that you gave it.
If we decline a request, we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to our response, and we will review it again.
9. How Long We Keep Personal Information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Order and transaction records are kept for at least four years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Account, wish list, and saved address information is kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe and for a short period after, so that we can honor the unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in the analytics service, which is typically no more than 14 months.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable security measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold, including encryption of the Site in transit, access controls, and reliance on established service providers for payment processing and hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to sites we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them your information.

14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will revise the date at the top and post the updated policy on this page. Where the change is significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
