Unusually for a men's release, Roberto Cavalli Uomo starts on violet. It is a cool, powdery black violet set directly against saffron, and that contrast between chilly floral and warm spice defines the first half hour.

Honey and lavender essence fill out the heart, giving it weight and a slightly sticky sweetness, and cedar carries the composition to a dry woody close. The house introduced it in 2016 in a squared black bottle with gold lettering. Warm, spicy and a little theatrical, it suits evening wear.
