Godolphin For Men

Saffron and thyme arrive first, dry and faintly herbal, with cypress and a thread of green fruit behind them. Rose and orris warm the center without ever tipping it into anything obviously floral, and then leather takes over, supple rather than raw, backed by vetiver, Virginia cedar, amber and a quiet vanilla.

Michele Saramito composed it for Parfums De Marly in 2010. It projects confidently through the first couple of hours, then settles into a long, close leather-and-amber trail. Cool weather and evenings suit it best.
