Phantom in Red is the warmest version of Phantom, built by Nicolas Beaulieu, Anne Flipo and Juliette Karagueuzoglou.

Bergamot, plum liqueur and saffron make a rich, almost boozy opening — nothing like the clean metallic original. Lavender, clary sage and orange flower hold the middle, and then it turns dark: an ambery tobacco accord with benzoin and oud. For a bottle shaped like a robot it is a surprisingly traditional oriental underneath.
