Loewe 7 is named for the Spanish house's founding year and is the more serious of its two best-known masculines.

Pepper and apple open it — a sharp, slightly odd pairing that works because the pepper stops the fruit reading sweet. The heart is where it earns its keep: incense with neroli, rose and lily-of-the-valley, smoky and floral at once. Cedar, vetiver and musk finish it dry. Formal, Spanish in character, and not much like anything from the French houses.
