Sublime For Women

Jean Kerleo composed Sublime for Jean Patou in 1992, and it is one of the last great maximalist florals. Green notes, coriander, bergamot and mandarin open it. The heart is enormous — ylang-ylang, orris root, carnation, rose, jasmine, lily and lily of the valley — and the base is longer still, with amber, sandalwood, oakmoss, tonka bean, vetiver, vanilla, musk, styrax and cedar.

Golden, resinous and unhurried. Spray sparingly; it fills a room without help.
