Jimmy Choo Man Intense is the darker sibling to the original Man, and the difference is in the base rather than the opening. Melon, lavender and mandarin start it fresh and familiar, but the fragrance turns quickly: black pepper, geranium and artemisia give the heart a dry, herbal bite.

What follows is where the "intense" earns its name — tonka bean, patchouli and labdanum, sweet and resinous and considerably heavier than the eau de toilette it grew from. It lingers on clothing well after it has faded from skin.
