Brit arrived in 2003 and set the template for the sweet-gourmand designer floral that followed it. The eau de parfum is the richer of the two strengths: green lemon, frosted pear and white almond at the top, cool and slightly bitter before the sugar lands.

White peony opens the heart, and then it deepens — vanilla, amber and balsamic tonka bean over mahogany, which is what keeps the almond from reading as dessert. Cosy rather than loud, and best in autumn and winter.
