Azzaro built the Wanted eau de parfum around three materials and left it there: juniper berries, sage and vetiver.

Juniper gives the opening its gin-like snap, sage keeps the middle dry and aromatic instead of sweet, and vetiver runs underneath from start to finish, earthy and faintly smoky. That vetiver is why this concentration reads warmer and drier than the original eau de toilette, and why it stays closer to the skin.
